Equally skilled sniper with normal scope vs acog scope. It's obvious who's going to win.

But that is not what is the problem.

This mentality is why we get such boring frag videos, everyone using a standard boring sniper, or the AK47 or AK74u... As soon as somebody comes in with a different gun, we automatically write it off as a shit frag?

No hold up. People actually using different guns ? Awesome!

But the acog scope is no gun, but an attachement! And the most horrible one in-game aswell. Red Dot is much better. And in the case of a sniper, the normal scope is a no brainer.

Anyway, personally I hate burst weapons. I play worse with them than an automated MG. If people play better with a burst weapon then so be it, each to their own. But in the case of an acog scope it's just stupid and you WILL perform worse.

Just because most people would play better with a scope over an acog, doesn't mean it is true to everyone.

Why? If your running around (as apposed to `camp` sniping) close to enemies an M40 ACOG is much more practical than a scope with enhanced zoom.

The ACOG kills in one hit ANYWHERE on the body (whereas reg scope doesn't in lower leg/arm areas), it also has a shorter zoom in/out time for quicker kills.

Some people may say its nooby etc but it doesn't change the fact that many people will perform better with an ACOG on a sniper rifle.

I'm not judging on which is better as I use both.

Heres some RAW facts...

Add "Stopping Power":
ACOG = 75 * (100+40) / 100 = 105 damage.
Scope = 70 * (100+40) / 100 = 98 damage.

ACOG is a guaranteed kill when you hit ANYWHERE on the body (if enemy has not got armor on)
Scope is not.
This is only true for the M40a3, all other snipers are 70/70.

So, if a player is good enough to use an ACOG, then mathematically speaking they will be better than any scoper.
But obviously, those of you who play slow and kill at distance, stick to your scope...

What someone does on close range with an acog scope, I'll do it shitloads better with my enhanced scope and trusty pistol.

Enhanced Scope > acog

I'm talking about experience here and lots of skill.
