Agreed. Did you know that I typically end up proofreading then editing almost every single post I make two to three times after posting?* In fact, I typically reform the phrasing of my sentences multiple times and not at all infrequently completely redo paragraphs that I dislike simply for the purpose of flow. That means on average it takes me three times longer to make a single post than a large number of our forum members. I do this for three reasons; for both the sake of professionalism in regard to the site, to appear to have some semblance of intelligence, but foremost beyond those previous two I do it to provide a level of respect and courtesy to all the forum members that will be reading my posts. Regardless of the amount I may smack you or others about with joking sarcasm or mockery, and regardless of the amount that I really do dislike members like Zipperdude or Lancast most of the time, at the end of the day I still respect them as individuals and therefore attempt in all instances to give them a post that is easy to read, regardless of what they might or might not give in return.
We are, of course, not asking for even close to the amount of dedication I put into my posts, but meeting us halfway (not even close to that, honestly) would not only benefit the team's supposed lofty goals to be the kings of the internet with our mighty thing called spelling and grammar, but it would also show that you are willing to actually step up and be part of the team. It really isn't a big thing to ask that you go through your posts and right click on highlighted words, or press two extra keys so as to type you instead of "u", in fact it really wouldn't be a lot to request proper grammar in your sentences either but we haven't even gone that far. In reality, your refusal to spend 5 to 10 seconds right clicking on obvious, red, underlined words and picking the word that you actually meant is a blatant insult towards what you consider the team to be, especially when many of us put in such vast amounts of time just so that people we may not even hold in that high of esteems have an easier read.
For the record I used spell check 18 times during the course of this post, made close to 40 grammar and sentence structure corrections, rewrote the second paragraph twice, rewrote half of the first paragraph, and rephrased about 6 different sentences once or twice in some cases. I also ended up editing this post about 6 times with various corrections and additions. In all I think this single, 3 paragraph post took close to possibly 20 minutes. Please, just spend ten seconds on spelling and let this be over.
* If you don't believe me feel free to ask Peds or KS to pull up some of the logs of the edits I do as I'm pretty sure they can actually view what was there before I edited it
