Do you mean you uninstalled by deleting your Activision folder? If you did then there are still registry entries and the program is essentially installed, however it is missing the content. If that is what you did, try going to start>control panel>add/remove programs and finding CoD4 and uninstalling it. For future reference, never delete the folder to uninstall the game.

Odd, check your add/remove programs anyway and make sure there isn't an instance of it there. Also, are you running Vista or Windows 7?

Download "CCleaner"
Run "Registry Integrity" scan.
Most likely cause is that you have corrupt or the uninstall failed to remove a reg key from the registries.

Hmm, try opening up your disc in explorer and seeing if there is a setup.exe file or something similar? If that doesn't work you'll probably need to find some third party software. I'm pretty sure there is some out there for this type of thing.
edit: ninja'd...do what Droffy said.

When you run the setup.exe file from the disc what happens?
Make sure hidden folders are being shown and then check your roaming folders and any application data folders.

Negative.
Although someone else might.
If nothing is happening at all, no errors and no folders, then what would viewing you simply show us 'nothing' achieve?
My only other advice would be to use the built in search and search for "call" or "activision".

Start>run> regedit
For 32bit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>Activision and remove Call of Duty 4
For 64bit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>Wow6432Node>Activision and remove Call of Duty 4
That should fix the problem. But you could always just open the dvd of cod4 and run setup.exe directly.
