Completly off topic. (on topic at same time)

Post by zipperdude » December 31st, 2009, 5:34 am

Alright the basic run down is im modding my BMX Bike. I want to put the pedals on the front wheel and larger fork in front to support larger tire. But so far i have completed it only 1 large issue. the pedals spin the speed off the tire, due to its on the same rotating axis. does anyone know of a way to allow free movement? its 100% necassary due to i use it to bomb hills. and if the pedals are spinning at the rate of the tire then i cant keep up. i used the "your speed is" that are for cars and clocked myself at 47mph, 54mph and 72mph while using street luging board. I now wish to try it on a custom bike. Ive tried custom building cassets to use but nope. im completly lost.

Simplified : Does anyone know how to allow free range of motion while on a stuck rotating axis? I know its possible, theres other objects that will do this taht arent bike related and I forgot what those are so i cant examine it to see and find out.

Ive asked a lot of ppl and normaly i would'nt bring such a weird / unusual topic to an online forum, but seeing as i have no more ideas and neither do the rest of the ppl i asked i feel this is my last resort so im sorry for this odd topic :/ I just need to finish this bike.

Post on some BMX / cycling forums?

Personally, I have no idea. I know little about how bicycles work and even little about modifying them.
