I think if they don't put dedi servers in they should atleast make it Peer to Peer like on console. Noone ever lags then.

IWNet does matchmaking, the actual servers are hosted by players on the server.

Yep and that is peer to peer. You notice the server lag when you prone behind an object and get shot, while killcam doesn't show you prone behind the object.

It DOES lag on Xbox (and PS3), the games use an anti-lag system to compensate for the visual lag, but "servers side" effects (in this case, the peer who is hosting) are calculated on one machine. Your personal machine calculates your own position and the estimated position and movement of the other players but the host computer calculates hit registration and actual movement.

This is why host advantage exists, the host only uses movement prediction, it does not need to collect hit registration data, that is calculated in real time.

same thing with halo on pc?

i noticed when i would create my own server i wouldnt have any bullet lag. but they all would. is that because of all that u had just stated?
