How do I set FPS cap in MW2?

Hey there, I'm a noob on the site, so I'm sorry if this topic has already been posted, but I need a little help setting the FPS cap in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you cant change or cap the fps in mw2 ...

Not anymore, indeed. There is a max of 85. Just make sure you reach that. It's enough for shooting.

Well, man, this game has me questioning why I play on PC!
Luckily, I found a program that limits the framerate of games. The program runs through Java, and creates a bat file that launches the game with the fps cap applied, but sadly, I couldn't get it to work with Modern Warfare 2; on launch, it seems like it's gonna work, then you receive an error message compaining that the game can't start "without Steam" on. Funny thing is, Steam was on, so I guess the game not only requires Steam on, but quite literally launches through Steam.
Man, do I HATE Steam!

You can change the fps from 0 - 100 (100 is max) just go to your config_mp
.... 76 fps are like 125
with 76 you can jump 40 inches high .. with 125 41 inches ...

Yes, if your internet connection is screwed you can't launch MW2. Or when Steam is down you can't play online.
