That attitude is well and good, it is the attitude I had for a long time and, in part, agree with. Debating, arguing, discussing rarely gets you anywhere. However, if all the intelligent people in the world were to take that posture, we would be far worse off than we are now. The problem is the fanatic always wants to voice his opinion, and the intelligent man always recognizes how little his opinion matters, so the fanatic always wins. However, if every intelligent man voiced his opinion we would have a different world.

I know this is very similar to the same crap you've heard over and over again so I have pretty much no hope of changing your opinion, but every vote does count...sometimes. Sure, 999999999/1000000000 your vote or opinion won't matter, but if you're there for that 1000000000th time then it can make all the difference in the world. I guess in the end it is a question of two things. One, whether or not you care enough about the world to take the time to constantly be a voice of reason and two, whether or not you have enough hope that you can get past the cynicism of overwhelmingly negative statistics.

If the individual could conquer those two things...well, it's an "if" and means nothing as it will never happen. Yet again, though, it's all about hope.

Very true. I state my opinion but i never complain.

My percentages i gave are highly untrue and no where near accurate just to clear that up. you get my point tho haha.

basically stating. dumb people will end this world. smart people will continue this world(USA).

i realize my vote does slightly count. and due to the fact i know tons of people think "oh well my vote doesnt count" makes all those votes lost votes. add those up and who knows mccain could be president instead of obama. now the world will never know
Show me what lies just beyond my eyes
Would you take me to the world where my spirit flies?
Tell me is that really fact or a pack of lies?

Look at it like you would Atheism, some idiots run around preaching it and worshiping it to the point that it's just another religion, as stupid as the rest. However, there are the others out there, the true Atheists and Agnostics that accept only the facts and recognize that even those could be wrong, they hold onto everything with a bit of skepticism and doubt. It isn't faith for them, it's something they have rational reason to support. Both those guys would vote for science over religion every day, but they are completely different people.

Supporting isn't the same as voting for. Supporting means that you agree with a cause (or person in this case) with nearly 100% certainty. As said in South Park, you are always voting for either a "giant douche or a turd sandwich".

Personally, I would've probably voted for Obama if I were forced to vote, but I don't support his opinions.

You don't get that kind of speach in the UK.
I'm confused by the wording, are you saying it is good?
