Nice deals. Some while ago they also put Empire: Total War to 25 Euro. At that time, everywhere else the game costed 50 Euro.

Re: Steam Deals
I'm very tempted to get the Far Cry 2 Fortune Edition for £10 - anyone played it and can recommend it?

Re: Steam Deals
I don't know about you but if you have thought about buying it, why not simply get it considering the crazy low price ?

Re: Steam Deals
I hadn't thought about buying it until I saw the low price. I don't want to be just buying it for the sake of buying it because it's cheap, though.[SoE]_Zaitsev wrote:I don't know about you but if you have thought about buying it, why not simply get it considering the crazy low price ?

Re: Steam Deals
There was a topic about it in the Other Games forum. I loved it and Nightmare loved it as well (we played through it "together"), however most people hated it, calling it boring. There is a lot of walking and driving because it is a huge open world. So, if you have patience and enjoy a bit of an rpg style gameplay I'd say it's definitely worth it.
Does anybody here have Dragon Age: Origins and can say whether or not it is worth the price?

Re: Steam Deals
It is a hardcore rpg, even on normal difficulty I have struggled and sometimes I haver died on easy.Soviet wrote:Dragon Age: Origins and can say whether or not it is worth the price?
The game is NOT free roam, it is pretty linear (story dictates where you can and cannot go).
The loot system is not great, gear is usually better bought than dropped.
The decision making element is good though, there are many situations where you get to choose your direction of story (kill or save style decisions)
There is also a RTS style combat mode allowing you pause gameplay to change tactics or make manual decisions instead of AI (for the characters not currently controlled).
If you like RPG's then you will like this. Although it is no Final Fantasy...

Thanks, I think I will wait a bit on it as I'm not in the mood for a super hardcore rpg right now. I got an awesome new headset insteadDrofder2004 wrote:It is a hardcore rpg, even on normal difficulty I have struggled and sometimes I haver died on easy.Soviet wrote:Dragon Age: Origins and can say whether or not it is worth the price?

Re: Steam Deals
Dragon Age Origins is awesome.
There's many outcomes to the story you can pick (Who do you side with), will you go the 'evil' side or the 'good' side ?
But yeh, I played on Normal difficulty, I died a lot because of mages so I switched back to easy which is still challenging at times. At the final battle I was running low on health potions. But I'm on my second playthrough now and I got more experience so it's all becoming better.
I've got 40+ hours played untill I finished the game. Granted you talk/explore a lot while you're in a city but it's still impressive. Really great game. Worth the money.

Re: Steam Deals
I bought Far Cry 2 last night, had a quick play on it, looked pretty damn good and glad I spent the £10 on it. Not sure about the 'feel' of the game, but have only played for a brief period of time on it so I think it's unlikely I'll dislike it enough to regret spending £10
