LMFAO, moralfag anyone?
If it were not for my principals (no mods/dedis) I would buy this game for THIS mission alone.
(Infact, my brother just bought it on PS3, I might just go shoot some civilians)

Thats what I was saying.. Levelling out the game is not balancing..
Making the game so that good players get good scores and bad players dont Ãs balancing.
By adding those deathstreaks and stuff. They make the game ALL BUT balanced.

It's a game...the same way that if you were to play GTA you would be shooting people, you shoot people in that. I really dont' see what is remotely 'fucking sick' about it. It's no different to a movie or television show. IT IS NOT REAL.
It's sick because this is realistic. This crap happens, if it's not in an airport it's happening in schools. Just this mass execution.
Cool mission to play without a doubt. But to think people are capable of doing this in cold blood, is SICK.

Yeah its sick that people could do this in real life or whatever, but thats irrelevant to this, its just a game.
Its some pixels holding some pixels firing some pixels at other pixels, whats so sick about that.

Exactly.
I don't even associate it with real life, I don't think any games can be sick to be honest. In the same way that the kids game 'Operation' (a UK thing?) isn't gory.
I used to play that (in the US) when I was younger, lol.

Understood but operation doesnt have visuals that on a first glance may seem realistic. I know it isnt just like real life, but the people in the massacre sequence are undeniably human-like and the way the game runs with you gunning them all down is quite a wierd thought.
I played the mission yesterday and I found it quite 2 sided. One hand its pretty violent and shocking (not from IW's PoV, but just thinking that this is the kinda shit that happens irl) and on one hand its quite an interesting mission and adds an extra dimension to the gameplay.
Overall I thought it was a bit iffy. Didnt really need to be in. It's a good job it turns into a full mission if I may add because it would be a bit 'what the fuck' if it just ended there.

Just think, every person you kill in the Brazilian militia probably has a wife and children...
Lets see you complete the game now with your computer game morals.
For the record "It didn't need to be in"... Its called immersion, it gets you hooked into the storyline.
And just for an off-topic record, the single-player was actually VERY disappointing.
brb, loading up Postal, need to go piss on some civilians.

Fully agree, it looks awesome.
+1. Mission looks brilliant, such a shame IW fucked us all over. One of my housemates bought it for 360 so I'm gonna do the SP today hopefully.

I guess it all bubbles down to what you think is right. Conflict is always going to happen, it's one of the things that keeps the world changing and growing and evolving. The people in the brazillian militia have a gun in their hands and have the same aim - to try and kill the people fighting on the other side of the conflict and make their side victorious. But people carrying out this kinda crap as people go about their normal lives - going on holiday, or to work, or to meet relatives, in this case or whatever - Its not right. now hit a different topic, not the game itself but real life morals so Im going to stop before this thread turns into the next theory and moral thread

With regards to the civilian massacre mission, I felt that it did give the storyline a boost, but i dont know if it needed to be included. I played it to see what all the fuss was about, and yes, it does look realistic, but i felt strangely detached from my character and the civilians I killed. I thought the way that you just stroll through made it alot more chilling the way they are all so calm, but I didnt really feel anything when I was doing it, like I wasnt thinking "That man had a wife", "That woman had a family" but I do agree that if the mission had of ended without the fight with the police it would have been a bit pointlessly simple.

This. They don't want conflicts. They just want to do their usual stuff.
