anybody into breakbeats?

Post by waywaaaard » October 19th, 2009, 9:14 pm

I've been listening lately a lot of break beats on nsbradio.co.uk I can recommend to download a show of Alli Rutt from the archive.

And got in some clubs near where I am living: Here is a video where I was I think this music is perfect to dance to:

Anybody else who listens to that kind of stuff and can recommend moarrr?

I have never understand these places. What is the point of going out with friends to be deafened by shit music and some drunk moron shouting down your ear.

Not really my favorite type of electronic music, and also not into the whole club thing. Especially because the clubs around where I live are basically where everyone goes to take x.

I do like breakbeat quite a bit, and found that video pretty good, although generally I prefer dancing to more mainstream songs that I recognise (e.g. Dizzee Rascal - Bonkers).

In terms of listening at home, though, I do like breakbeat quite a lot. One artist I've become obsessed with recently is Bassnectar.

Here are some of his songs I like the most:
Everybody
Bomb The Blocks
Kick It Complex
Mesmerizing The Ultra
Kyrian Bee Bop (1:02 is great :))
Verbing The Noun
Select Frequency

There are plenty more that I like by him, but that's just a taster to see if you're interested.

P.S. I don't know of any clubs in the UK that play this kind of music. Obviously, some will exist, but they're pretty hard to find and will generally be full of dodgy druggies, so perhaps not the best place to go.

I really like to go in a club, or play music in a club. My favorite style is electro-house but the video you posted also sounds pretty cool^^
Don Diablo - Hooligans is great, or how pedsdude said, bonkers is cool... there are so much cool tracks^^

Sometimes i also like minimal-techno like Paul Kalkbrenner - Aaron or Stimming - Eiszauber

Also the stuff from michael mind, klaas, Deadmau5, ... is awesome... there are so much amazing artists^^

Dedmau5 is pretty sweet, on a somewhat similar note, check out Wolfgang Gartner, some of his stuff is pretty epic.
