Amorphis

Post by [SoE]_Zaitsev » October 4th, 2009, 12:15 am

Hey guys, the metal geek I am I wanted to share something with you guys.

Usually I don't really like bands with lots of clean vocals but man, these guys are great. Recently discovered they had a new album (I find so many new metal bands, I lose track of some of the earlier bands and their upcoming albums).

Due to the fact that I used one of the these songs in the Overgrown showcase I thought, let's put a song of their latest album on the forums. This song is all clean. I love the intro, and I just love their instruments.

Still, it doesn't beat true melo-death bands though :P

Album: Skyforger

Ofcourse there is more, thought I'd put atleast in 2 songs. I have the feeling these guys make songs regarding the earth and the nature. Also, if you want a laugh, go check out their first album and see what they once were (And no, I don't like their earlier work). Album > The Karelian Isthmus (1992)

I had some amorphis from their previous albums, never really liked them... I'm more heavy techno/alternative/electronic

Keep in mind that 2 or so songs have heavy grunting in them. Surprised you liked them :D

Well if you like that then this band is not your kind of band

Also, I found a song from their very first album. Sounds really dark and evil. It's also the only song from their very first album I like.

:P
