Who Watched Derren Brown and Got Stuck?

Hi everyone, this is more for the UK members of the site, but there was basically a program on by the magician Derren Brown, and it played a subliminal tape, which was designed to stick you to your seat. It only had around a 50% success rate, but I was one of the lucky ones. It worked on me! It was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me, I couldnt move at all. The more I tried to move the harder it got. Anyone else watch it? Did it work or not?

I was looking forward to try it (and to try and beat it as I don't like him), but I gave up waiting after 10 minutes. I get fed up of him doing THE SAME TRICKS for a good 30 mins on each show - he always gets someone to eliminate boxes or something of that sort and the final one left is the one he chose. It's ALWAYS the same trick, slightly disguised each time. I turned off after that and waited for Peep Show.

I might watch it on YouTube later today if you honestly did get stuck and it wasn't just absolute BS.

But someone like me, this sorta stuff would never work, I have too much disbelief in me, and thinking it wont work, is the reason a lot of these things do not work.

Anyway, did anyone notice that "Paul", the guy who picked the green chair, seemed to have a microphone in his back pocket when he walked on stage (unless it was a really well-stuffed wallet)?

PWA is interesting, but hypnosis through a TV? Somehow I don't see it working.

Just tried it, didn't work. I tried my hardest to concentrate on it and try and give Derren a fair chance of sticking me to my seat, but I got up easily.

Maybe I should've said that in last post to stop you wasting a minute of watching a few twirling lines.

Nah I knew he said that before I did it, but my monitor is pretty reasonable, I had it full screen, and it was a HQ video.

I love all the other crap he said at the start too, it was effectively one massive get out clause.

But I found it quite entertaining to watch.

I was quite sceptical, but i thought i might as well totally go along with it, and just made myself really relaxed, and stayed still and stared at the screen. What i also noticed that was there was a variety of subliminals throughout the program, so presumably, they will have helped. A few were blindingly obvious, such as white flashes with a picture of a man strapped to a chair, but others were put as quick transitions between camera angles, so im guessing there were many more than what i percieved, hence the PWA. When it did work, i felt totally normal, but when the rest of my family got up, i tried to get up with them, but just couldnt do it. I was willing myself to move, using the muscles to get up, but the more i tried the heavier i seemed to get. Was rather strange, but was definitely an experience. It's a shame it didnt work for other people, as it was something very weird, but enjoyable.

And wow what a 'movie'. And no, obviously this didn't work. I got frustrated as hell cuz it took so long though, lol.
