Strange habit while jumping

Post by Luke » July 31st, 2009, 6:53 pm

I felt like jumping the other night so i thought i'd try some gaps. Little did i know i was being filmed on a mobile phone and i didn't realize how bad it was til i watched it back! but my head actually goes at like a 45 degree angle when i'm doing gaps!
Is it just me or do others do this? watch the video to see what i mean: http://img190.imageshack.us/i/weirdot.mp4/

I think I tend to lurch forward a bit when I jump. I also say a lot of bad words when I've been trying a jump for a long time and I haven't made it :P

I sometimes notice I move my head forward when I try and reach that difficult jump (When I am soooooooo close). I noticed I also do it sometimes with Trackmania :D

Luke is THAT good at jumping, he is falling asleep while doing it!

Thinking about it, I do lean slightly to the left, but nowhere near the angle you do :P

My mom once told me I move my head with the direction of movement when I jump. Like a strafelook ? :?
Ive allways done that when gaming.. At supermario I allways put my controller to the right and flick it up when I was trying to swim or jump out of the water.

Pretty sure Nintendo seen you and invented the Wii after that.
And then all of gaming went downhill...

Wait, gaming on Wii goes downhill ?

Go play Metroid Prime and Resident Evil 4 on the Wii. The controlls are flawless.

I'm currently playing Zelda Phantom Hourglass on the DS. They make fantastic use of the touchscreen. Gaming only becomes better with Nintendo.

Wii Sports Resort is one of the top selling games right now. They are making family games worth creating, which is a crime almost as bad as the creation of Halo 3.

ok, on that I agree. I hate these kind of 'sport and fitness' games.

Anyway, regarding the Zelda on the DS. It's basicly a sequel of The Windwaker. You have sea charts. And at one time you find a sea chart in a dungeon, but it's upside down. So there's a puzzle here. You had to close your DS (While your sea chart is opened) so that you 'glue' the upside down seachart on the original seachart and thus revealing a secret chest underwater. Now that's a very clever mechanic of the DS!

I was really like... wtf! Very original.

Nintendo has always been my favourite.

Luke, do you still jump in public?
If so, in what servers?
Ive been jumping in cod1 also and theres a real lack of mentality. Most jumpers are doing nothing but savejumping.. Thats the main reason why the codjumper server isnt full anymore, because savejumping is blocked.. Kinda depressing to see.
