lol, that's so over the top. I never buy Collectors' Edition versions of games, I think they're pointless really (and the extra price isn't justified imo). Just the bog standard version for me!

I'm the same, but I would like this thing, if the game turns out to be good it would be nice to have bought the prestige edition, but imagine this was for WaW and you bought it, I regret buying the normal copy :P.
EDIT:Just read this on destructoid
Modern Warfare 2 "Prestige Edition" is going to cost just $149.99. The bad news: Those night vision goggles are probably going to suck. Good night vision goggles should run you about $300 at least.
$150, doesn't sound too bad, new release games are $110+ here.

Well it depends.

I've got the collectors edition for the new WoW expansion simply because I like all the lore connected to that game. And I don't really see any lore for MW2 apart of 1 storyline.

True, but you can say that about 90% of games, the only games with any interesting lore is WoW and certain RPG's, it would be cool to own the little soap mctavish head, and for $150 it's not much, though it might be, someone from the US, tell us how much new releases are.

Well Blizzard has a huge background with lots of lore for all their games.

Yeah you're right, I haven't played Starcraft, Diablo etc, but now I think about it you are very correct.
