I've had someone built in some kind of chip or whatever so I can play cracked games.
Still, I buy games which I was really looking forward to, games I know in advance that will be good like Mario Kart, new Mario games or the upcoming Metroid game.
I normally say "chipped" "modded" is another

.

With PC games, it's different because of the obvious reason that it's comparatively simpler to download a PC game. Having said that, I very rarely download PC games as I don't tend to buy that many (the CoD series is almost entirely what I play on PC, but for a few other games such as L4D). I definitely buy them as I deem them worth the money, especially considering the hundreds of hours I'm likely to spend playing them. It's only really games that I wouldn't otherwise buy or wouldn't play enough to make it worthwhile paying for that would tempt me to download, which is almost no games (in fact, I think I've only ever downloaded 2 games).

lmao, I was wondering how hard that must have been also

Yeah I'm the same, I can't be bothered with the risk and money it costs to get my Xbox chipped, so I just don't buy games for it period, there has been NO games that really caught my eye, games that I really really want to buy, none at all so far. And on the pc, I'm pretty much the same as Peds, I play the CoD series primarily, and I got Prototype which bugged out so I've stopped playing that, I completed Call of Juarez, but once I finish a game, which I don't do often, I don't normally play it again, and I can't justify paying 100+ dollars for it.
