Pretty cool, but I'd do a couple things differently:
-Make the panning slower
-Maybe not pan from overhead if your going to do a transition to a horizontal view, try panning something from a horizontal view
-Maybe fade out a little when you go from panning to the actual game play
Other than that, it's a creative idea for a transition that looks great!

that's a nice pic and all, but out of all the pictures you could have taken why'd you take a picture of a plant?

Is the transition simply just the merge of a video overlay moving across the screen, or is the more to this than I am seeing?
It is hardly something revolutionary, it looks good, but I don't think it really required much opinionated testing...
