lol'd IRL.

From what I've read in this thread, I'm pissed a bit. From what I understand, I need the equivalent of a D (or 7/10 or 70/100 where I live) to pass, whereas it appears that most here need around the equivalent of a 50-60 (in my grading system) to pass :<. My grading system is as follows: All grades are out of 100 and there is a thing called GPA which means Grade Point Average which basically averages your grades. The following grades where I live are: A = 90-100, B = 80-89, C = 74-79, D = 70-73, F <= 69. An A counts for 4 points, a B counts for 3, A C counts for 2, a D counts for 1, and an F counts for 0. There are 6 grades you get (Academic Courses, which are normal English, Mathematics, and Science, and then "side classes" (forgot what they are called) which are classes such as foreign language, Computer Applications, and other stuff) and those 6 grades are recorded every semester (a period of 18 weeks) as a specific grade, such as A, B, etc. There's a specific scholarship in my state where if you have a 3.0 gpa, you get paid a certain amount for college per year, and I'm trying to get that (it isn't hard at all for me, but w.e). To calculate your GPA, you must find what grades you got at the end of every semester, add up the "points" per each grade, and average them. Once you have that, Add up each GPA you have in every semester in High School and that's your total GPA, so you need a B average to keep a 3.0 or a 80-89 average overall. And from what I've seen, you can graduate high school at any time (freshman are 14 normally when they enter high school) if you take a test called the GED. It might just be my state in the US, but I'm not sure and I cba to look it up. I only know about this because my sister is dropping out of high school because she was too lazy to do her Senior year in high school and she's taking that test to get her diploma :S. That's all I know atm, and maybe I misunderstood everyone else's grading system, but w.e.

Congrats Atze on passing your exams :).

As I said before, it depends entirely on the DIFFICULTY of the content. You can't compare pass percentages and say who has the easier challenge...

I have to mention here in Germany are huge differences between the exigences in the single federal lands. I am from Bavaria which has the most difficult exams. Although you have a better reputation if you graduated in Bavaria than in others.

But if you are acclimatise to more difficult exercise it's just normal for you :)

In school we had a point system with 0 - 15 with 15 best

at university it's different again with credits and normal marks o.O

No signs have to be given because it is so blatantly obvious.
