No Buttons in SP or MP....

Post by Brakkie » June 26th, 2005, 12:14 pm

DUTCH:
Ik heb net mijn computer geformateerd en CoD opnieuw geinstalleerd. Toen ik weer even de SP starte om weer even op te warmen zag ik de knoppen helemaal niet. Zoals New Game, Load Game, Options, etc.

HELP PLEASE

ENGLISCH:
I just formatted my computer and installed CoD. When I tryed to play SP just to warm up a lil bit, the buttons were gone... The buttons like New Game, Load Game, Options, etc. were gone. I knew where New Game was placed so I clicked on it. The game loaded but when the game was halfway (loaded) then the game stopped and an error appeared. I couldn't read the error because the text was gone.
I tried to reinstall it a couple of times but still nothing changes. Please Help Me!

The game is original!

(What I mean is that all the text in the game (buttons or how you wanna call em) are gone. Also errors and everything else is gone...)

Uninstall the game.
Go to the c:/program files/call of duty/ (or wherever it was previously installed).

If the folder still exists then delete it.

Then reinstall.

If you are still having problems then post up the file size of every pak file in your main folder...

pak0,1,2,3,4,5,6,8,9
and the localised ones.

The menu files are stored in one of the pk3s (can be arsed to check atm) and if that file becomes corupt you lose the menus (this includes, weapon selection and quick messages).

And if any pk3's are corrupt, not only will this affect the menus, but pure servers will not accept a different file size of pak files and servers with md5 checks will probably ban for having edited pak files.
