Its an OK video, not the greatest. The kills are average with a few good.
The music is a good song, but over used.
No effects, would've liked to have seen something.
ok thanks for the essay infInfinite wrote:You got off right after you told me to watch the video and comment on it on xfire, so I guess I'll post it here.
I didn't like the shiny gloves (at the beginning and throughout the video) and I forget what it's called, but that wasn't such a big issue anyways. The frags were meh. At points it seemed like lucky shots, but I can't truly tell unless I see/know how you play (this isn't an issue, just an observation on my part :s). The more that youtube blocks audio, the more I hate them :<. The audio that you chose to put in as a backup was alright, and the original songs were good (according to the description), but Last Resort is far over used. When you make music choices next time, use good songs, but from bands that not many people know about. Most of the time, the audio won't be blocked if you do so, and the movie will be better all around. The editing was minuscule and could be greatly improved. There were no transitions (iirc?) and I didn't see anything that blew my mind away. If you want to be serious about frag movies, there are a few aspects which you should try to understand. Most frag movies are rated by frags, audio, quality (audio and video) , syncing (editing which matches the video with the audio), game sound, and a few other things which I can't remember off the top of my head (I believe originality, but I can't remember :s). I'm certain that most people have seen this, but this is a great example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtyxVzAwtNE&fmt=22 . When I saw that for the first time, I was utterly amazed at the work and effort put into it, and it made me get into working with adobe after effects (cs3) and sony vegas 8. It doesn't take a genius to learn how to edit, but it does take some time and at least some effort.
I could write pages of advice for making frag movies, but I'm going to stop at this because now I feel like working with adobe after effects again xD.
it rocks:Dmatt101harris wrote:Atze i used your old cfg, because your new 1 looks a little to grey :S
