well, you ll just insert cd and click install to install the game really simple, and then you ll use google or whatever to find patches 1.6 and 1.6-1.7 , you ll download them and install them, and then, you ll go in options and put enable console : yes, after that you ll press console key ( key under enter ), you ll then open it, remove the " # ", and then you ll type /connect X and by X i mean server ip, such as 11.111.1.111:1111

rly simple, or then, if you got xfire, just click on the ips on site, then you may join through xfire.

There will be a manual in the box. It will tell you how to install the application as well as the application itself having the instructions about installation.

After installation, start up your CoD4 Multiplayer. You'll notice there is a server browser where you can join any public server. If you want to join a CoDJumper server, write down our IPs (which are posted on the main page). Then, toggle from where it says internet at the top to Favorites, click the button to the right of that that says "Add a new favorite", and enter the IP of the CoDJumper server you want to add. Once you refresh servers, it should be available for you to join. Simply double click on it to join.

Edit: Also, as Damsel mentioned, there will be patches. Although it shouldn't be a problem since I believe CoD4 has an auto update feature.

Well basicaly, Patches fix game bugs, but on pc ( unlike on console where you auto dl ) you have, or well at least in most of games, the oportunity to choose if you want that patch or not. But if you do not take the patch, then you re not gonna be able to play in a server which is in another patch, and cj likes to keep there servers up to date, therefore they re all in 1.7. So well you re gonna need em, I' d recommand startign downloading now, since 1.6 is about 250 mb, and 1.6-1.7 about 50 mb.

ye well theres probably an auto update anyway, but would save you time, just type " cod4 patch 1.6 " and " cod4 patch 1.6-1.7 " then, once you ve installed cod4, you may imediatly install them, instead of having to download them and etc.
