House M.D.

Post by Soviet » May 12th, 2009, 11:39 pm

I keep up with a few shows, and typically, while they are good (or even great) there isn't enough to really post about. But the last 3 episodes (House Divided, Under My Skin, and Both Sides Now) have been absolutely amazing. There are so many things they do so well it is impossible to name them all. The writing was absolutely phenomenal, and the ending was simply fantastic on every level. The atmosphere they create, the way they create it with artistic design, and their ability to so seamlessly combine these two atmospheres are amazing. However, above all of this is the amazing psychology they deal with in these episodes. I've always loved psychology and been extremely interested in it, but what they did with these episodes was absolutely incredible. The way they manipulate the viewer and are not in the slightest bit scared to give a sad ending is always incredible to me. There are very few times when I am surprised by what happens in a show/movie, but this one just blew my mind.

I understand most of you aren't American and therefore probably don't watch the show, but I was wondering if anyone did, and if so, what they thought of those episodes. Oh, and don't comment on how many times I used "absolutely" or "incredible", at least I have proper grammar and spelling

Indeed a very good show, and a great season finale. :)

I think I've only watched that show one or two times. It seems like a good show, but I never get around to watching TV tbh. But, I have been trying to watch Lie to Me, it's an amazing show. Have any of you guys seen it?
that's a nice pic and all, but out of all the pictures you could have taken why'd you take a picture of a plant? :P

Because plants have some really small details. If a plant comes out nice in a photo, you have yourself a good camera ;)

Yes, but if boobs come out really well in a photo you have a picture of boobs

If you want an epic series, watch "The Inbetweeners".

Season 2 is free on 4OD but I recommend finding some streams/downloads/buy the 1st series.
Especially if you are from England, as it may or may not appeal to Americans (no offence).

I think I watched the first episode of the show here in Sweden a couple of years ago, and I thought it was pretty ok :) It's not my taste though, since I'm more into intense shows.

It's just my taste though, and seeing how popular it is in other parts of the world it's gotta be good!

I've been following 24, Fringe, and Lost for a long time, and House whenever I remember. I'll watch the last 3 episodes of house on hulu or something when I get the time, and speaking of great season finales, did anyone see the season finales for Lost or Fringe?!?!? The Fringe one was pretty fucking awesome imo (Leonard Nimoy shows up, and if you don't now who that is, just think Spock) and the Lost one was just as great as it answered more questions than the whole series did (mainly about Jacob). The 24 season finale is next week. I hate how they time them to end at the same time because I have nothing to do while I'm bored when they end :<.

A series I got Hooked on was Scrubs, I swear to god I stayed up till like 5am 5-6 nights in a row to watch every episode. When Michael J Fox guest starred on one of the episodes I was really surprised, I haven't seen him act since Back To The Future.
