ah to avoid tears is fairly easy and you still will have them with this rap chop, there's and enzymatic reaction if you cut the onion which releases sulphurous acid. And that combines with your tear fluid and in order to get it out your eyes begins to produce more tear fluid

best thing to avoid is to cut them under water or put a little fan next to the onion when you are cutting them, so the sulphurous acid doesn't get in your eyes
