I listen to a little bit of newer stuff as well (mostly Apocalyptica) however I have found that most music nowadays lacks talent. I mostly listen to 60's and 70's music, but F3 has gotten me interested in 50's a bit. I play the radio about half of the time I play, it really helps set the mood at times, at others it just gets repetitive.

Well if you talk about the mainstream music nowdays I agree with you. Some are good, 95% simply sucks. Artists you never see again in a few weeks.

Anyway, I've fallen in love with metal. Was into Gothic Rock first and slowly moved into metal.

I like one song of Apocalyptica in particular:

And the one with vocals.

I'm disappointed at some of you guys' lack of taste in music tbh

I could give a ton of valid arguments for music quality etc. but i just don't have time atm, writing a research paper :(
that's a nice pic and all, but out of all the pictures you could have taken why'd you take a picture of a plant? :P

Because plants have some really small details. If a plant comes out nice in a photo, you have yourself a good camera ;)

Yes, but if boobs come out really well in a photo you have a picture of boobs

Please start a music debate, I love talking about how rap isn't actually music!

Soviet, you're one of the few who actually appreciates talent in music/musicians! GJ!

Using a mac with garage band to make everything but the vocals, and then completely revamping the vocals with special effects is NOT music in ANY way.

As long as music sounds good I like it, whether it be old or new. EOD for me.

I can assume that you are one of those stereotypical bastards who listens to classical music 24/7 and "talks shit" about other people's interests according to what you just said. -respect.

Not true.

1. I don't listen to classical music 24/7, I have a large amount of music I listen to in many different genres

2. I respect other people's opinions, but it angers me when people have no sense of real talent or skill, but instead worship whoever is the best at making something using a computer program that takes other artists training and practice to do without a computer.

If you want an example of talent, look up some Freddy Mercury (Queen)

good example + his life outside of music didn't affect his talent.

So you hate remixes/mashups because other people make them and not the real artists... try making a good one and tell me that it takes no sense of skill or talent.

(may have misunderstood what you said due to bad wording, but w.e)

Freddie Mercury, one of the best vocals ever.
