Tip if you don't want server to be hacked, change the config name that is execced off the server (for most gameserver providers, it is default "server.cfg"), change this to something like "asdjkasoidjdasj.cfg".

Or you could patch your server against many hacks/crashes, from http://aluigi.org/

i don't know why but jump server seems more suitable for hacking/hackers than the others... i remember that also with cfg name changed they succeded in hacking also if i put a strong name... only safe thing to do is to change rcon with a rcon tool after launching the server.

If you have any logfiles and all configs as a completely un-guessable name, it would be incredibley hard to hack the rcon password. The onyl way I can think of is using a q3tool to brute force the rcon, and that takes a really long time- probably about a whole day of leaving your computer on would be able to brute force a 3 letter rcon password, and any sensible person would have a much longer password.
