Will set up cod Jumper server for free but need help.

Im trying to set up a server but I need help. I have the AKK Mod dowloaded, but i need help applying it to server. Thanks
EDIT: OK i have the AKK mod on it and running. I can connect to my server fine and it runs fine.
I am having trouble connecting to rcon while on my server. I type in "/rconpassword (pass)" and it doesnt do anything. Then when i type a command like "g_gravity 100" it says unknown cmd g_gravity or something
Also. How do i let other people connect to my server? I cant get it to come up on xfire server lists. I type in my ip from whatsmyip.org. But i dont know my port.

If you forwarded the port properly (28960) then it should be 28960.

Hi.
At the moment we're not particularly looking for any more donated CoD1 servers. We already have one up and the game is quite old, so one will suffice. Feel free to set your own server up if you want, though.
Also, we only tend to accept full hosted donated servers as opposed to servers hosted on peoples' home computers (they prove much more reliable, better pings, online most of the time).

It is a dedicated server. it has 2x xeon quad core processors 8gb memory
But since you dont need mine, how do i get the port situation right?

I disagree Peds, we can always use another server.
Even if it is for an older ( and better than CoD4) game.
I know someone who can help you, just chat with me on x-fire and I will pass you along to him.

A dedicated server you bought from a hosting company? If so, you shouldn't need to forward any ports etc. The default port is 28960, although I think it can be changed in the command line / config.

I'm sure someone is already using 28960 if its rented. Just change the port to some totally random number?.
