I know theoretically your skybox can any shape as long as it encompasses the whole map, so I was wondering if you might be able to use multiple skybox textures in a single skybox.

I know this would make for odd ambient issues as the sun would be coming out of the wrong direction most likely on at least one of the skyboxes, but I am fine with that.

Or you could make your own. Take some pictures of your sky outside then split the photo into 6 sections of 1024x1024 and import them as seperate normal textures. That's atleaset what I'd do although you'd have a problem finding a camera with a resolution that high...Oh I also saw a custom sky making tutorial somewhere but forgot where, sorry. Try modsonline.

only problem is that you won't have the long endless sky type effect unless you use really big brushes, which might eventually suck out performance.

I think you can make 2 skyboxes with the same sky texture.
