Image
This is really anoying because this is the second time and i need to do everything again....

Question 2

I read a tutorial how i can get the models in COD. This was what i need to do:

Open pak5 in main
Unpack collmaps and env
Put them in Call of Duty/main/textures
And to open them pres file en then load

The problem is that i cant open some models some i see and some one i only see a common texture. And under in console this stands in it:

Code: Select all

Loading common/clip_nosight...empty alpha channel!done.
Loading model xmodel/artillery_flak88... failed.
Loading model xmodel/artillery_flak88... failed.
And the one that works i tested en than the map dont load my cod crashes than..

Hope you can help me

For the first 1 that sometimes happens when there is a corrupt entity, and it can be fixed by opening the .map file in notepad and deleting that entity(if you can find it). Best thing to do is to create a backup folder and every so often drop a copy of the .map in there when you've completed some work on it.

For the models, have you extracted the xmodel folder from pak0? this folder should be placed in your main folder. To open the models, right click in the 2d window, go to misc>model. 2 windows should open, (open and entity) in the open window select the model you want, for example 30cal, click open and in the entity window the values will say key: model value: c:/program files/call of duty/main/xmodel/30cal change the value to just say xmodel/30cal
hit enter and the model should appear in radiant.

Look on modsonline for the "parse entity" fix (its called 197a or something similar")

It will try and automatically find the problem, otherwise, you have to do as said and search your map file for the problem.
