i was on the campaign misson of numbers, and i was exploring a glitch, eventually, i jumped onto this one balcony and the ground was very strange. for some reason, i couldnt sprint or jump on it. Also when i walked on it, when i stopped moving, i would slide for a bit before i stop. does anyone know what this is?

I don't think its a certain texture, I've seen that exact same thing on CoD4.

Eg. if you're under a map, and then jump up through the ground, but don't jump high enough to get back above the ground, your feet are still stuck in the ground texture, and that is when you slide and can't jump etc.

Its probably that when making the map that texture is slightly out of place so that your not actually walking on it, but through it.

ok, that makes a bit of sense, as i have experienced that in cod 1 lol
Also i noticed that i can use the strafejumping technique (without the jumping ofcourse) and i can move even faster on the ground on those surfaces

You can do that really well on the CoD4 map Ambush. You float halfway through the ground.

Reminds me of landsharking in MoHAA That was pretty much the same thing I think.
