Ok will here it is... i've been trying to make a map... called mp_height. And i've put all the mp spawns, reflections probes, and global intermission. Here is a pic to prove that i have all of that...

And then i compile the BSP, that works fine, but when i compile my reflections, CoD4 loads and says "Couldn't find a spawn point" WTF?!?!?!?!?!? i clearly have spawn points but idk, can anyone help me?!

Are you sure you have placed all spawns?
I have 14 different spawns to make sure I'm correct (everything in the mp menu)

Your map is called mp_height, and I've been doing height research recently, the results;
Maximum jump height
125 FPS
Normal: 40
Frag: 61
333 FPS
Normal: 46
Frag: Untested

These are accurate within the unit. And I believe that 250 FPS is the same as 125... Hope that helps...

Delete all spawns/reflection probes/global intermissions, then do the following:

- right click > mp > dm_spawn
Move this somewhere on the map in the air to be sure it's not stuck in a brush.
If your map is a jumping map then you'll only need deathmatch spawns, no other gametype ones. The map should load fine providing you've got 1 good dm spawn.

- right click > mp > global_intermission
Place this in the air too for now.
You should only have one global intermission (it's the view you get when you first load the map and have to pick teams).

- right click > reflection_probe
Place this in the air too (1 will do for now).

Only have one of each, then try and compile and see how you get on.

If you're still having problems then I'm happy to look at the .map for you.

But for testing, the codjumpermod can't be enabled properly, so I think it uses different settings when launching from codtools.
I wish I had a shortcut like you. :)

He's getting his problem when he compiles the reflections, not playing the game.

Also, you can have a shortcut like me, but it means dragging the .ff files from one folder to another each time, so if you'd rather do that than click 1 button then I'll happily tell you how to do it.

Haha 1 button!
Yeah right...

So yeah, I'd rather drag those .ff files please... :)

OK:

1. Go to "C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\usermaps\" and make a folder called mp_portal.

2. Go to "C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\zone\english" and drag over the 2 .ff files (for mp_portal that are generated when you do a compile) into the mp_portal folder you just made.

3. Go to "C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare" and right click on iw3mp.exe, then click Create Shortcut.

4. Move this shortcut to your desktop (or wherever is convenient).

5. Right click on the shortcut, then in the Target box (in Shortcut tab), enter this:
"C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\iw3mp.exe" +set fs_game mods/codjumper +set g_gametype dm +devmap mp_portal

6. Save the shortcut and then double click it.

Every time you compile you have to drag those 2 files over from zone\english into usermaps\mp_portal and then simply double click the shortcut.

Note that as a result of the compile you may have to edit config_mp.cfg each time and set scr_fullscreen equal to 1.
