Hey guys i found this on accident yesterday and i thought u guys could help me explain it. heres the link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0xi6dQEN-I

please check it out. In the video it features something i called a knife strafe. Idk if anyone has found this but i didn't look on Youtube for this. I was doing the terminal plane jump when my friend knifed me and i went flying forward. I think it might be a new way of strafing or a solution if u cant strafe. And yes i can strafe. Thanks guys please leave comments on what u think this is. Sorry for the bad quality.

Its the same old 'shared' friendly fire shotgun trick I believe. Although someone who owns the game will confirm and tell you which is better, knife or shotgun.

Yes i beleive this the same shotgun thing with shared health but, i found that when shotgun jumping it is much easier to go up not out. And when knife jumping since u cant stack it could be an alternative option to strafe jumping or air package jumping. Because u can strafe while you knife jump so you go much farther. i was just posting it because i thought it might help people who cant strafe or who found a jump then need to go a little farther on. And yes it does go farther then a normal strafe. and this was performed on xbox 360 at normal fps.

Yeh seems to be exactly like that. If it works, it works and it's a method of jumping. But I still believe shotgun is a bit easier though.

Yes it is similar to shot gun jumping but when u shotgun jump onn mw2 it is usually to get to a higher place. But the knife strafe would be usually to get to somewhere that is to far for a normal jump. I also did them at the same time and saw that knife strafing forward goes significantly farther then running and shot gun jumping of an edge. Thats y i think this may be a new style of jumping.

I think that the shotgun jump is easier because you can shoot him from a distance, with a knife you have to be much closer.
and the one who has to knife would stand some times in his way.

Sorry for the bad english, english isn't my first language.

Yes but the thing is u dont put it on friendly fire shared, u can do this in a normal game. All u need is painkiller if u want to do this in a normal game. for this jump u have to be on opposite teams u cant be on the same team.

because the jump only works with commando because after the person leaves the ground the commando knife gives him a boost to were he needs to go.

Infinite does have a point. Knifing someone with Painkiller is an instant kill no matter what.

I was playing on Ps3 with brother last night, I am 90% sure I survived a knife, although I cannot remember if it was painkiller or if I was just imagining things (it was late :P)

Well I have personally never experienced someone who survived a knife slash.

on normal mode i just tryed this it took a while tho. I used a riot shield on my back and tried the knife jump and he knife my riot shield and it still worked. Took a lot of trys tho and it is helpful to have painkiller on while u try it with a riot sheild. But i really do think this could be another type of jumping or an alternative to strafing.
