Hey... again, didnt post w/ color changes because ive got my mind set that I want these colors. Changed a few little things between v1 and v2. Comments please!

I prefer V1. The bits of 'fluff' as it were in the 2nd one around his head somewhat blur him into the background, when he's meant to be standing out (or at least I think he should be).

The bit on the right I'm undecided about.

As for the curved lines in the background, perhaps V1 with blurred lines? (So basically V2 without the extra dots to the left of his head and without the curve on the far right).

I can lower the opacity of the 'fluff' if need be. i like this version tho. Ill mess w/ the fluff and see what I can get later.

Just add a little more opacity close to his hair, so it doesnt look like it is attached

Yea yea ill try to get to every1, in the mean time heres one that I did today :p did in like 20 min... still trying to find something to fill the left side... suggestions??/

I'd say just make the left side darker with some grunge brushwork. Also, the render doesn't fit as well as it could.
