Ok, you list 3 that are good.
If you list a social aspect, such as 'having [more] fun' or something similar, feel free to list another, if you are unable to have fun, equal or greater to when you have had a drink, you have a serious social issue, its a form of drink dependency.
Thats not true.. Alcohol changes your body physicly so you can have more fun, has nothing to do with a social issue.
I'm sure people aren't fully listening (reading). I am not asking anyone to stop drinking. I really couldn't give a toss if you all died of alcohol consumption, its your choice in life and I respect that. I am simply asking for reasoning, maybe I just cannot understand how people can simply outweigh all their negatives that alcohol brings because it makes them happy.

You might as well justify and accept anything that makes people happy, because you should allow them to do it.

40%+ of crimes in the UK are done while under the influence of alcohol, most of them common assault or wounding. Most of these crimes are done in the 19-29 age category, I live in London, if there is not a fatal stabbing in one of the local areas in North London each day, it would be a miracle.

I can justify very good reasons for alcohol as a bad thing, yet the best answer for alcohol use, is "I enjoy it".
As I said in my first post in this topic: there is no denying you are right, its just that u make alcohol seem a lot worse and more dangerous then it really is.

The first time I got drunk I nearly passed out because I had no clue what I was doing. In that sense it was dangerous. However I did have alot of fun while drunk, so I can see both sides of the argument. Just drink safely and there's no real problem, I feel its fine to get drunk and have some fun as long as you're smart about it.

I know Drofder is heavily against it because of things what hppened to him in life but when I read your posts I get the feeling that everybody who drinks gets drunk and starts killing innocent people.

Alcohol is bad, sure, but so is playing computer games (Although not as bad). It's the same thing. Some people get aggressive while drinking beer, some people get aggressive while playing computer games (Sure, I get frustrated sometimes, but I don't have the urge to smack one or so). The only difference I can see is that people might kill others (Like driving drunk) but those are complete idiots.

Go out to a party with some friends. There will always be beer or whatever. If all of your friends drink, and only you don't, it's simply not as fun. I don't believe it that it's still as much as fun, it's simply not.

Drinking is bad. Drinking is fun. Too much drinking isn't fun.

Thanks Zaitsev for that great comparison! I wonder who else might have posted a response similar to yours? :P

I think it's really important (if you do choose to drink) that your mature enough to understand the risks of what your doing, and that you know how to limit yourself.
that's a nice pic and all, but out of all the pictures you could have taken why'd you take a picture of a plant? :P
-Soviet
Because plants have some really small details. If a plant comes out nice in a photo, you have yourself a good camera ;)
-Drofder 2004
Yes, but if boobs come out really well in a photo you have a picture of boobs

Discussing Marshall's new camera lol^

The only reason I have "less fun", is because I hate seeing people being morons while drunk. I know many different types of drunk, violent, talkative and 'drowsy'. None of them in my experience are fun to be with, I am not going to drink my self to the same level because thats the only way I can get down to their level.

There are two physical attributes to gain, weight and short term impotency.

Just for the record, just because I have had personal issues relating to drink, does not mean that is the main reason. I have never witnessed rape, but I am against that also. I have a direct look at life, and things that affect the brain in ways that make you unable to remember things the next morning are not exactly on my Christmas wishlist.

Are you telling me you've never ever done anything offensive while drunk?

I never am drunk. I don't like being drunk. I drink, but almost never anymore atm. Only on birthdays or something or a few drinks when I go out.

Why is it that everyone who drinks says "I'm not drunk".

Yes you are, you just refuse to believe it. Your brain may be saying "sober" but your fucking legs are saying "pissed".
"I wasn't drunk" is the most common phrased used by drunks :P

Mh the most people I am going out with don't say they are not drunk if the are o.O maybe it's only the people but in common I know when I am drunk and don't deny it. And my legs say never that they are pissed - if I am drunk I feel it in the head and brain and don't forget if people drink constantly or every weekend it takes more to get drunk - 2, 3 beers don't really affect me so that I or anybody else would notice it.

@KS
I don't deny alcohol lowers your inhibition, but not for me or most people I know for violence, rather more social things and talking about more intimate topics and easier way to get laid tbh. And I hope I don't make this experience with alcohol violence and aggression.

I still remember everything, I don't feel that bad the following day, only a bit thirsty. I usually don't drink a lot on Saturday evenings because the next morning I gotta deliver newspapers (meh). Sure, my legs aren't working 100%, but that's being called tipsy.

I rather hang out with some mates than go to a disco (Mostly cuz I can't stand the crap music and it's always too crowded for me). I like going to a pub again but my mates always go to a disco so I don't go out much anymore.

Fair enough, but you have to take a stand point on alcohol, and from my point of view, there are too many problems caused by it than the amount of people who simply have a laugh and cause trouble (and those who think, things like walking up the street in early hours screaming, or throwing cones in the road, etc is 'a laugh', then that doesn't count...).

I understand that I can be really annoying - where do you live in London that you are facing such problems? Well it's a smaller city I am living in so there aren't so many problems with that except Samba with those god damn drums.
