that border actually does work for it, good job. One thing I'd suggest is some type of dot effect or something over the outer parts of it. I'm not sure how to really explain, kind of like bumps. You can get brushes for it.

I used some dots around the lower right and left sides... that what you mean?

yea, like that but slightly more exaggerated and have them distort the image instead of just giving it a specific hue.
