From what I've seen, all teams try and try again to dive and to get fouled, not just the Italian team and all of the players are great actors, I've never seen such dramatics as I have watching the world cup. The elbow to McBride was bad but that don't mean the entire team is a disgrace. I dunno nothing about match fixing or bribing but thats beside the point, I'm sure it's done by other teams, they just haven't got caught.

2 legs straight ahead? red card by the books though... The fact that he hit a teammate doesnt matter.

There are some more teams that have been caught doin bribes, or using doping, but they were all meaningless teams that dont play at the top.. And it happens far most in Italy.

I agree with Drofder and aicaramba about Italy, although having said that I'm glad they are otherwise I would have lost 15 pounds :)

Speaking of bets, I put 30 pounds on Brasil to win today and won 8.57.

you should have bet with ladbrokes ;) because .... 2 - 1 odds england would kick off ... 2 - 1 Odds (forgot name) would kick off.... so if i put a bet of equal amounts on both teams ... ;] you cant lose!! muhaha

That the points. you put £1 on both, you win £2 back...

Eh? If you put 2 opposite bets on, you win 1 and lose the other.

You place £1000 on each, totalling £2000.

You win 1, and get £2000 payout
You lose the other... no payout.

Pointless bet. Neither you nor the brokers win.

Infact, come to think of it, the way betting works is you get the odds 2/1, so you get 2 * 2000, plus your money back (3000).

BUT

This would be stupid of Ladbrokes, and trust me, bettings companies are far from stupid... So I checked their website...

Odds for halftime is EVENS! not 2/1

Evens = 1/1

So if you were to place a bet of £1000 each way, you would get even money back (£2000 fto bet, £2000 payout)
