That was quite difficult to follow. Are you saying that this doesn't work? You completely uninstalled your current directx version and reinstalled it using the files that came with Black Ops and you still have this error?

Perhaps if you were a bit more clear, we could actually help to solve the problem.

Am I the only one who find like 15 EU servers and triple the amount of US servers I really want to join ? ffs

Atm it's fucking hard to find a server and when you do manage to find a server everything lags like hell. Steam is fucking things up so badly that it's taking the piss.

Yesterday was the ONLY day so far where I actually played without issues... Playing a beta right here and it's taking the piss.

Snipers are crap. 4 sniper rifles and only one bolt action sniper rifle ? What fucked up joke is that anyway ? The sniper rifles are exactly the same as in CoD4 where they are NOT accurate (I shot a guy 3 times who was standing still in a window but no hit marker, none out of 3 shots). Add on top of that not a single map is really built for sniper rifles anyway (MW2 had a lot more maps which were actually decent for sniping, and one map specially for snipers ie Brecourt)

Akimbo gayness is back but a LOT less than MW2. I've only seen like 2 people or so so that's not too bad.

I prefer the Galil over the Famas myself. But Assault is deffo the way to go. Burst weapons are crap as usual.




Also Sam, I think you lose XP if you click away that constant popup you get (Downloading data or something). Once I lost like 20000 codpoints and approx 45 mins of gameplay. It's not a lot but yeh, it's annoying and things like that shouldn't even be in the game.

I sitll like playing it though but we're playing an untested game right now which is fucking obvious after the FPS lag issues we had from day one.

Game has been fine for me today, although I did have the server browser issue that Zaitsev mentioned. I reset the filters, refreshed, and set the filters back and it seemed to improve the issue.

Incorrect. The G11 (unlocked about level 47 or something) is totally awesome.
Currently I can't get any servers to show. Another annoying issue is that when you click the wager / ranked match automatch buttons it seems to only try to put you in full servers, so tells you they are full...kind of misses the point in automatch.

I'm lvl 38 or 39 now so I haven't played with it. But those I did play with I didn't like.

The M16 at the start you're forced to use, but when I played with the Enfield I wanted the M16 again because the Enfield was even worse

Curious about the Commando and the classified weapon though (Don't spoil it!).

Classified is the G11...pretty obvious if you do a process of elimination. Commando is about 30% better than the ak47..and G11 totally rocks as I said.

If it's that much better, I look forward to a 4 kdr with the commando . going to be playing straight form lvl 40-50 right now, so it should be interesting to see how they both work out for me.

Cod2: servers always show, no p2p server stuff (which sucks), mods are enabled, cracked server FTW (yes, i have legal cod, and yes, cracked servers are more fun and have less cheaters!)

Anyway, I find nearly everything on the actual game to be fine at the moment other than fps spikes. What is annoying me is the match making details kinda stuff, eg favourites list not even working.

As for zombie mode, I spent nearly all of yesterday playing co-op zombies (with a friend on PS3) and found it really enjoyable. I love the maps, because there is no obvious place to camp like in most of the last ones, and you have to develop your own tactic to actually stand a chance (after a whole day our best co-op waves was 21 on the first map and 18 on the pentagon one). And some of the new features in the zombie maps are totally awesome. Can't wait until it works on PC.

Wow, talk about terrible quality.

I am getting 70fps steady on 1280 by 1024 with a 9800GT, the "lag" spikes we are encountering are not graphical based, so putting your graphics on lowest quality is just moronic.

I've put mine on lowest too just so that it helps a little bit. I should up the graphics again but I'm not sure if I can run so smooth on Extra.
