I think its a love/hate program. I like the idea of easy skin installation and the huge amount of skins available. VLC player FTW. It has a ridiculous amount of features (most of which i haven't even found yet, lol) and it has some nice skins too. It also plays like ANY file type. (Well i'm not sure ANY but pretty close)

I use 'Media Player Classic' - nice and basic, loads quickly, mainly shows the actual video rather than having a load of options around it. I highly recommend it.

I must admit winamp is cool for playing MP3s * other types of music files. i had a little mess with it the other day. While messing with it, i looked around for some skins, so here's some ive found which i thought was realy nice. I
Heres some i put into the File, as i think they are nice.

Ok heres the Rar file with 12 cool skins, well i think they are cool.. all ya need to do is have winam installed, sownload this file, unpack it and click on each file 1 by 1 and check out the skins as they load.
some skins are so nive they give you options to change color themes of the skins.

winamp = simple. That's all i need in a program that plays mp3s :>.
I could careless about skins and customizable stuff. I like the hotkeys on it tho which link directly to the ones on my keyboard which makes it very easy to change songs and volume while playing games
