I thinking jumping without bouncing is better.. Dunno why, but I dont really like bouncing in cod4, sure, the jump possibilities were awesome, but somehow it took part of the fun of jumping for me.

You saying Promod doesn't balance it ? There's a limited amoutn of guns, almost no perks and no choppers etc. So every player is like almost the same. Can't balance it better than that.

Sure, it's a little bit more balanced than the stock game, but it definitely is not that balanced. Anytime I play a promod server, I either go 20-0 or 0-10, depending on if I get a sniper or not and if the other team has a decent sniper. The automatic guns are just shit when compared to what they've done with the snipers. And to make it better, most servers limit the snipers to only 1-2 people, who are always in the top 4 players in the server (unless they are shit). Even in the stock, the snipers were a bit overpowered with stopping power, considering you could one shot everything unless you hit them in the hand or foot (even with juggernaut). Without snipers, there's still the fact of the automatic guns being overpowered among the automatic guns. I don't even notice a difference on them from stock, and I'd probably have to decompile the mod to find out if they really did do anything. Anybody with common sense would use either the ak74u, ak47, mp5, or the m4 (Although I personally don't like it at all, it's still an OP gun). If they truly wanted to balance the game, they would have fixed the reloading exploit, balanced out guns, and left snipers alone (if not nerf them). That's just my opinion of course. The only thing I truly like about promod, is that it's strat time whenever you play.

I don't think you understand what balanced is.

It's that each player is almost identical to everybody else. Ofcourse, a sniper kinda ruins it but 1 sniper a team in official matches is standard.

That's why I absolutely loved Instagib on UT99, everybody is the same, now skill comes into play.

Promod is designed for matches though, so the TEAMS are balanced even if each individual players aren't.

I do understand that, but the stock game is already like that if you ask me. Considering everyone has the same options as to what is available to them (assuming that they are all rank 55), so that argument is fairly void in my eyes.

That's not true at all. The fact that they will all choose the same weapons without Promod indicates how unbalanced the game is. If the game were balanced there would be a huge variety of weapons used in matches, as opposed to the typical ak47/m4a1/m40a3/r700 mix.

I took promod as an example because of matches, not some silly public play.

And it's still pretty much balanced since there's 5 machinegunners and 1 sniper on each team. So ofcourse having a better sniper than the opposite team helps. But it's still balanced in promod. But for 100% balanced games you need to have everybody with the same gun.

But it's pretty obvious that every team has a sniper, been like that since CoD1 and even MoH.
