yea, if you want a giant performance hit
Not sure what era you are coming from, but as long as the 2nd monitor is not running any 3d applications, the graphics card takes no major performance reduction.

I often watch videos while running games at full whack without any issues whatsoever.

Its all about setup, if you are getting an issue with dual monitors, you have it setup wrong ( or you are using a laptop >.>)

I'm still waiting for a good reason to own a little lcd.

to display all of your WoW stats and other important info without having to open various screens and take up space in the game?

There's not even a point for duel monitors

Sure, for work or so (meh at office work) but for gaming ? Only keeps me distracted.

Addons, large resolution and a hotkey.

I can check my stats while gaming, without needing to look away from the monitor.

---

Reason for dual monitors while gaming:

- Music / Video
- Email
- Chat
- Browsing
- Game Modding (script on one screen, testing on other)

And there are several games which support dual monitors, I do not play any, but they do exist.

Still waiting for something that isn't novelty...

(I found 2 potentially useful mods, but hardly worth the extra £20-30 paid.

Why would you play a game in windowed mode on a bigger monitor when you can play the game in its native resolution and still have twice the amount of space left.

Come on, G15 usefulness, I'm waiting.

getting all the usefulness of a second monitor in an easy, small, and portable setup (as well as completely customizable) without having to buy/set up another giant monitor and take up tons of desk space.

If I wanted a "portable" solution, I would buy a fucking laptop.

Requesting a more sensible solution

I do agree Drofder. That little screen is handy, but it's not essential. You can play without it but it is handy. I like it.

Of course it isn't essential. The point is, it is a nice, affordable luxury which is definitely beneficial to playing games (without buying a fucking $1000 laptop).

So is your mother but I fool around with her anyway

Tbh, you have no experience with the hardware, what it can do, or how it works. Use it, then give me an educated opinion.

At least my mum can be used as novelty, your mum is still licking windows.

I'll buy a G15 when you buy a second monitor and give an educated opinion.

I have a second monitor and attempted to set it up. After two days of fucking around with it trying to get decent performance and looking all over support forums I gave up. With the G15, I plugged it in, did a google search, and within 5 minutes I had user friendly software and was creating my own display exactly as I wanted it. Within an hour it was perfect and gave me as much information as a 2nd monitor. Also, I had about 2 square feet more desk room.

Fucking brits.
