New PC/FPS help in CoD4

No, I havnt tried other games yet, ill try Crysis when i find the disk again( just moved, so boxes evrywhere)

Im not sure ill be able to try it on someone else's PC, as i dont know anyone with a Power supply that could handle it.

Could it being second hand have anything to do with it? (Got it off eBay so...)

I think you can go to a pc store, ask if they can help u out with testing your card in other pc's etc.

I dont think that having it second hand would hurt it much unless the 1st person was an idiot and tried to overclock and failed maybe...

That would explain why he was selling the card in the 1st place, as its still quite new isnt it?

I dunno, but it seems weird to be selling a card after.. how long ago did it come out? Or maybe he was just buying better one, i dont know, and didnt ask tbh as i thought i was getting a great card

Never buy second hand hardware from anywhere but places which test and approve of it first >.>

Not a fan of anything second hand computer wise to be honest - perhaps things like monitors if the price is right, but its a risk you take and have to accept.

Monitors are the only thing I considered 2nd hand (I say second hand, it was a store-show piece in mint condition), paid £50 I think (http://imag-bg.com/images/198FP.jpg)

Couldnt find the Crysis CD, so i got a demo.

All this is one high graphics @ 1024x768 AAx8
When i shoot etc, i get about 20 fps, if i look at sky it can go up to 60fps

When im just walking around it usually goes from 25 to 40 fps

Sometimes if theres, grass, trees etc, it can go to 15 and even 10 fps once...
I tried at highest resolution, : 1680x1050 and got LESS than 1FPS ! (which made it fucking hard to change back after )

I dont know much about Crysis, but surely something isnt right?

I can give you a clue?

The only thing left to check is that your GFX card is getting sufficient power. Make sure the leads which are plugged in to your graphics card have nothing else in the chain, give the GFX a single chain of power. If that fails, hunt down the person who sold it to you.
