Is this as common an issue as it's made out to be?

If so, I'm tempted to get a PS3 instead of a 360. I'm thinking of getting a 360 over the Summer.

You can get a wii and a 360 for the price of a PS3 ;/ I'd get a 360 purerly because of the noticeable difference inquality. I've played GTA4 on both console's and the PS3 suffers with much worse framerate lag and detail loading than the 360.

I don't think the issue is common enough to not get one. I know people who still have 360's from the original batch that still work.

Haha Yeah, a Wii is something you play at your mates house to have a laugh, as not to waste your own money.

that is generally why I never have / use game consoles.

Yeah I see consoles as more of an inconvenience. My xbox (not a 360) only makes an appearance when I have mates around and we've ran out of things to do. I briefly started playing NFS: underground again, but instantly the novelty wore off.

The 360 problem is as common but its easily fixed. I just took it into the store and they gave me a new one free of charge plus a fresh years warrenty. If you get a 360, get it from GAME because the warrenties etc are great there.

IM NOT SAYING THIS BECAUSE IM A 360BOY - I LIKE BOTH CONSOLES BUT HERES MY OPINION

360 = more nitty gritty, down to detail, pro. The ps3 seems a bit more childish almost, a bit too laid back for my attitude. I cant stand the ps3 controls because of the analogue sticks, theyre just in the way mostly. Or out of the way, whatever, where you dont want them.The look of the consoles is much up to your manner - doesnt really affect too much to me, but the ps3 does look a little hefty (see that grill they made out of a ps3?)

Anyway, id go with the 360, grwater range of games and cause theyve been out longer, cheaper too.
