What team do you support? (I'm guessing it's a London one)

Sometimes that's true, some games can be very boring, but goals aren't the only exciting thing about football. It is fun to watch when people do tricks, or when a team is dominating another team and has a great sustained period of attack (which is fun to watch, even if it may not end in a goal). Then there's free kicks, saves and controversial decisions / fights.

Of course, the best thing is goals, and there are so many fantastic goals scored each season.

Here are some links to try and convince those non-football fans, and for the real football fans to enjoy as well ;)

The Man U goal at 1 minute is brilliant (however much I hate Man Utd, they're a very good team)

Best goals of Premiership 05/06 season (I couldn't find a good video for last season).

Rooney's volley against Newcastle (unforunately) - one of the best goals ever imo.

Rooney chip against Portsmouth in FA Cup last season - also one of the best goals ever imo.

Champions League Top 50 goals (well worth a watch).

Rooney's chip is brilliant, but its something ive seen being done before (on more then one occasion)

I oftenly enjoy the play before the goal better then the goal itselve.. Ive seen goals in the most amazing ways, and its a "rare" occurance that i really think that the goal itselve is that beautiful, especially distance shot dont seem to get me very easy ;)

but here is one of the best goals ive ever seen (ajax goal im afraid :( And i hate the player, but the goal is brilliant.)

Nope, Man Utd.

The thing with football for me is the beauty (the beautiful game after all), and as you have just posted in those links, Man UTD play some beautiful football. I can honestly watch any match involving a top team and enjoy it without supporting anyone, if the football is good, then its a good watch.
The only team I support fully, is England.

(Man Utd vs Chelsea for the shield, I spent in a pub FULL of Chelsea supporters, certainly was not brandishing my colours there :P)

I would imagine you had to keep quiet during and after the penalties, too :)

Pretty damn hard shot to perform:

For dutchies mainly. The last matches of last season, where PSV became champions against all expectations.

________points___goal difference
1: AZ ____72________+54
2: Ajax __72_________+48

What?!!? I disagree. (sorry if im late) . Sure in premiership teams like Man Utd (*cough*Mez*cough*) and Newcastle (*cough*Peds*cough*) they might get the ball and play about with it in midfield for 85 mins of the game, however lower leagues are much more exciting. The conference i think is more enjoyable than a MUtd match sometimes, because the players at M Utd are goodbut...theyre borin! in conference theyre shooting from 40 yards, scramblin in centre circle, Its just more exciting, and some of the goals are ACE.

But thats only IMO.

Personally, I think that's bullshit :)

The Premiership has the best players, who have the most skill. I would rather pay to watch Cristiano Ronaldo (unfortunately) and Rooney play brilliant football than some part-timer who is more 'scrappy'

I do agree with jimbo on some level..

The higher levels of soccer are far too focussed on money, and if they think that defending, or as jimbo said: playing the ball around in the midfield, is the best option. Then most teams will do that and not continue play to make more goals. But I dont think its very bad in england (italy ftl).
