i guess i agree, and i might get one if i had the money, but the thought of paying as much for my mouse for a mat seems too much, but maybe not..and the ones i've seen that they recommend dont look very ergonomic, my friend bought one of those icemats? and he wasnt impressed..but there must be some that are worth it

I use an optical mouse from Logitec (don't know the exact name) and no mousemat. I had a dual optical mouse but I never noticed a real difference exept for the price.
I also heard alot of stories about the laggish problem with a cordless mouse during gaming, so I guess all cordless ones have that same problem.
In all my gaming years I only encountered one problem regarding a mouse. Now and then the mousepointer would shoot up to the upperleft corner (also during gaming which was quit anoying), but I heard that was a window's problem.

I use a Razer DiamoNdback and il never go back it glows red cool sexy feel Ultra sensative and Side buttons Takes a while 2 get used 2
but now i cnt use norm mice they feel so sloowo!
