I don't think anyone is really debating your opinion that heavily. Luckily you're taking the side of reason after MW2, so all the dumbasses who supported that one realize what idiots they are now. There, now we both sound hostile

I never supported MW2, but my opinion is not swayed by a previous game, nor am I swayed by a game developer.

The simple fact is, a game CAN be transformed by mods, just because it didn't work for WaW does not by any means dictact that it will not work for Black Ops.

My pre-thoughts of saying I will buy the game are based on the release of tools. The tools have to be meaningful but I am not expecting any form of SDK.

As a modder and specifically a CoD Modder, I am very much swayed by the fact a mod tools release is a potential, my thoughts on the game remain the same. I don't like the perk system, I don't like the RC cars, I don't like the "awards", the points and pretty much everything else it has in MW2. however consider PROMOD on this system, the engine is great, limited weapons, no achievements, no killstreaks, no perks...

You can probally compare Black Ops the best with MW2 rather then WaW even tough it has a different developer. They clearly copied a lot from MW2 and i must admit, the gameplay is smooth on MW2.

Some sort of promod could have a lot of potential indeed. Just don't get your hopes up to high because as proven with WaW, mod tools don't guarantee anything.

I've said it often, and I'll say it again... If MW2 had dedi support, most of us would probably be playing it by now because it runs so smooth, even better than CoD4.

But unless they use the modified engine used for WaW, I already know I won't be liking Black Ops because I hated WaW, the movement just didn't feel right. But if Black Ops uses the exact same engine as MW2 I'll probably like it. But not as much as CoD4. CoD4 had some good perks, some lame ones aswell and imo the airstrike was cool but the helicopter sucked because on a public game there are constant choppers. In MW2 you have a lot more flying death machines but if played smart you can take them out easily, which you couldn't really do in CoD4.

Mods ftw, I just hope Black Ops will keep the good movement CoD4 and MW2 had.

Oh yeh, fuck massive maps. That combined with fucking tanks in infantry maps and lame movement fucked up WaW.

I wouldn't touch MW2 with a 10 foot pole even if it had dedicated servers. I can think of about a dozen reasons why I still wouldn't play that piece of shit.
