Would you mind sending me your .map file so I can take a look at what you're doing wrong?

Not at all.
I'll post all files in a zip file when I get home today.

Sure thing, you can PM me the link if you don't want everyone to download the .map.

Ok I will.
Just to explain what I did to make a spotlight (for future reference to people who also wanna make a spotlight);
- right click and add a light
- right click and add an info_null
- select the light and then the info_null and press W
- deselect both and select the light
- give the light the values that are in one of my my earlier posts.
- then Compile
Have no idea what's wrong with this way of making a spotlight
Thx for the help btw Rezil

No problem.
EDIT: Found an old .map file that I'm certain has the correct values for the light:
Copy this, recompile and check if it works. If it still doesn't work, upload .map and send.

Thx m8. I'll try it.
I will have to add the _color value right...cause it's not in there

Yep. I have a plain white light (_color: 1 1 1).

It works now.
I think it has something to do with the fov values. You can't make em what you want I think.... made fov_outer 45 and inner 20 and then it shows no light at all. Make em 90 and 45 and it works.
Thx guys for helping

fov_outer HAS to be bigger than fov_inner. Also, the radius determines how big the spotlight is(that is, how far it reaches). The smaller the radius, the less of the spotlight can be visible which is probably what your problem was here.
Glad you fixed it.
