Im sure there are things that u absolutly suck at sam, but i wouldnt take the piss. In some ways it is harsh and hurtfull. I don't like to think im a retard, but i know that when it comes to stuff like this i suck.. I bet that if u tryed to shoot a gun, drive a quad, drive a tracter, wire up a house and general stuff that requires physical effort u would suck... But u dont se eme taking th episs now do u...

Who ya gonna beliveve? My point is that a one of the signs of a mature, intelligent person is proper spelling. So I guess you're portraying yourself as a not so intelligent and/or mature person.

Is it just because he can't be bothered to type properly, or because he doesn't actually know how to spell certain words?

If the former, then more effort needs to be put in, if the latter then I suppose it is acceptable to a certain amount, although he should use a Firefox spellcheck addon as he has been doing in the past, most of his posts since joining the CJ Team have been fine imo.

Actually, you guys are all taking it a step too far.

I still don't understand why he needs to spell every word correct 100% of the time on these forums. This is a jumping forum, not a spelling/grammar forum.

Although I do agree, he should put some effort in it, but it's indeed taking the piss to correct people on mistakes again and again and AGAIN.

I also have a spell checker, but it's set to Dutch.

Aslong as the text in jump videos and whatnot else is perfect English I'm fine with everything.

I classify the first under 'leetspeak' and not under bad spelling/grammar. Also, I don't expect people to be able to type on these forums like your second example. But I DO expect people to write like that when making videos, making informative pages on a website or indeed reviews.

You're making wrong equations here. We aren't on a farm nor on a shooting range. We're on the CJ forums. So it's only about skills that matter here. It's about CJ wanting to set an example. It's about CJ wanting to create an environment where people can enjoy everything CJ has to offer on a certain level.

It's true, we mostly do know what you mean. But there's a tricky part. Imagine someone signing up today. He reads through some random posts. When he sees a CJ member post with incorrect spelling and abbreviations that look aweful, he'll assume that is normal. This could wreak a chain reaction. And I think CJ doesn't want that.

I'm not entirely sure if a spellchecker will make your English much better, it will improve spelling but I'm not so sure about grammar.

Anyway, it all comes down in putting a little effort in it.
