I have a cheap 100$ Radeon 9200.

I can get a steady 125 fps looking at the ground in UO.

Graphics only on medium though, with high I lag.

I want a new computer

well.. 125 makes u go a bit higher than a normal jump and farther... 333 fps allows you to go even higher than 125... but you cant jump as far as 125.... just to clear it up for you...

Thats sorta correct.

But, 125 and 333 have the same distance. It just doesnt seem so as you jumper higher with 333. Again, I use this expanation.

Imagine an egg. Split it horizontally. One of the two halves will be a high arch, and one will be a smaller arch, but both halves have the same width.

Understand ^^?

lol ok soz then.. but really, why do people like Destiny say its better to keep it on 125... and not 333 which makes u go higher and the same dsitance >_< hehe

I want to upgrade my card, i'm thinking about either a geforce 6600GT 256MB, or an Asus V9999 TD/6800 128mb...both about the same price, not sure which is better, anyone know?

actually i could get a XFX GeForce 7800GT PCI-E for about £50 more than those cards ^ , and it comes with cod 2 free! would need a new mobo tho, time to search for one :)

Kinda old thread... But I need a new graphics card too... I want to be abled to play cod2 at high settings and quite good fps(125 constant!?), for a limited amount of money (if its possible).
Ive heard there are different gfx card connections (sli something ) . Anyway, we got the old connection.
Ive got a GeForce4 4200 ti at the moment and have 30-50 fps at low settings
Any suggestions?

well its not just gonna be your videocard you need, as for running it on DirectX 9, thats never gonna happen. Almost every single member of my clan runs an amd athalon 6400 with dual x850 radeon videocards and 2gb of RAM and they get about 60 on average for directX 9. So its most likely not going to be possible for you unfortunately, though a new video card could greatly improve your fps.

if you are looking for sli one of the few i have seen is this one - http://www.palit.com.tw/en/products/nvvga_7800gt.html

but i am sure you do not want to pay near that much. I am no big expert on videocards, all i know is if you want a good one its gonna cost a lot of money

We dont have sli... we've got AGP? At least its the oldest on.., It doesnt need to be THAT good... but i want it to be higher then the 20 fps i get from time to time and about 70 fps max when playing. And bein abled to play with higher settings.
