If you are pirating software, games, music, maybe you should accept what you are doing is illegal and having to wait 3 days to complete a big download is not going to kill you.

Patience is your problem, not your download cap.
I find it hilarious that your capped speed is my normal speed.
What's even funnier is that you THINK I am talking to you?

Since when did we even establish you had a cap or were talking about your cap (which is hilarious that you are not capped)?
This thread is relating to Virgin media network throttle... Do they even have Virgin Media in nation of segregation?

Oh, and stop swinging your giant e-peen in my direction, my download throttle and speed limit (no cap...) is enough for me to continue my daily life without a problem, good luck with your HD Streams.
I didn't think anyone was talking to me, I just figured this topic is better than any to bitch about the bad internet here. I'm not swinging any e-peens anywhere, I just said that the capped speed you get in the UK (250kb/s or w/e) is my max speed, give or take a bit, I don't know about you, but continuing my daily life with less than 6 kb/s isn't possible. I quoted the wrong person anyway, I was meant to quote Jimmys post on the other page.

I hope I'm not the only one thinking: Where the hell did that come from?

Apologies.

Yea sorry about that, I didn't realise your mum was taken.
Please don't go there. I'd rather not go into the details of what I've been going through, and that comment is on the border line of setting me off.

this isn't anything serious, this is simply sitting in an office for 10 hours a day, serving people who can only be known as "cunts".

A saying in our office.

9/10 customers are cunts, the other is an arsehole.

Maybe it's time for a career change? If my job pissed me off that much then I would be considering it.

Working is not about fun and games. you are not supposed to enjoy your job.
Plus, we are hardly in the situation to choose our jobs, with 2.5million people without jobs in UK

Its a cushty job mostly, but has some major shitty sides.

So you're saying there is no job at all you like ? Sure, with a job like yours I would get frustrated as hell.

I worked at an animal vet and at a healthcare house with elderly people. Dunno how you say the second one but those 2 jobs you simply notice it's being appreciated, specially by elderly people. How can you not like it ? Every day I went to work without problems.

What you want and what you get, are for the majority of the world two different things.
There are many jobs I would love to do, but I would imagine even those jobs will have some major down sides.

Beggars cannot be choosers, I need money and the job provides money. Like I said it is also a simple job in actual work required, I work with family and people who have known my family longer than I have. The biggest downside is the customers.

Ofcourse it has downsides.

Cleaning someone up who shit himself isn't particulary fun.

But it's the appreciation you receive, that's what makes a job fun. But that's the health branche. I can understand that accepting phonecalls is kinda dull and all that shit. I rather do stuff with my hands.

The worst thing about this business is the connection you have to make. This is a totally family run business, so our actions affect each other. If we fail to get customers in because we are rude, then we all lose out. If we worked for a major organisation, a lot of customers would've been refused on account of ignorance and stupidity.

Working in a family run business gives you direct access to the background of what is going on. Finance, insurance, advertisement, development, expansion, ideas & maintenance. We do it all. When you work for a major organisation, you have a set role and you stick to it.

Customer does not see:
- In-house advert designing
- Talking with potential advertisement deals
- Getting new leaflets, cards, keyrings, etc
- Running a large google adword campaign
- Maintaining and cleaning vehicles
- Decorating office
- Installing new computer based system
- Managing insurance claims
- Representing traffic fines (parking tickets etc)
- Emailing booking, quotes and invoices
- Ordering vehicle parts and office stock
- More other crap...

What the customer sees:
- Rental agreement
- Their money exchanging hands
- Vehicle check

We are now totally off topic, but that's a nice little run down of why you shouldn't (and I no longer) simply assume someone is doing a small amount of work.

How offtopic can a thread go

On this note i dont understand what you mean. Put footballers or musicians or maybe even teachers in the equation? They all work hard like most other people in jobs (especially the teacehers) and im sure they all enjoy their jobs
