Strange radiant problems

So recently I downloaded the cod4 mod tools and today when I started it there was a problem.
The 2d grid has a box on it and right clicking does nothing.
I think some setting may of changed or something similar.
I understand this is an older game but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok I found what was the problem.
Another screen had been pulled over the 2d grid from the left.
Such a simple solution to such an annoying problem
