There's 32 teams in the group stages. Given how much of a struggle it was to get 16 people for the recent Champions League sweepstakes, I doubt we'll manage 32 for this. If that's the case then I'll just run it from the knockout stages onwards - 16 teams.
The World Cup starts on Thursday 12th June, so please sign up as soon as possible

What are sweepstakes?
I've had to write this because quite a few people have messaged me asking what's involved, or thinking it's some sort of jumping competition. There is no jumping involved, the limit of your involvement is to post in this topic asking to join in.
Sweepstakes is a form of gambling when a group of people each pay the same amount of money, to randomly draw a team from a hat. Whoever's team wins the event, gets all of the money. In the case of this one, we're just doing it for fun - there's no entry fee, but also no prizes, just the enjoyment of having a second team to support in the World Cup (assuming you're not given your favourite team!).
