Re: player dvar

I saw your post on Braxi forums, I guess the only way is by using that weird menu file technique, my bet would be to try and look into that if it's absolutely necessary to know a certain dvar. Just wondering, what is the dvar/why is it needed? There may be another way around it as there are a few pe...

Re: player dvar

If you're just wanting to force a certain dvar, just put it in a loop on that player so it will constantly set that dvar to a certain value, but yeah it is rather odd that you can't getClientDvar.

Re: player dvar

Unfortunately not. Well not simply anyway, perhaps there is another way though. Since in promod it detects when you have >250fps doesn't it? (Used to then give you blurry screen/noise).

Re: How Do I Update the Modtools?

Yeah just copy the download into the normal CoD4 directory (where your mod tools are installed). It should ask if you want to merge the bin folder with the existing one, choose yes. It will then ask if you want to replace a few .exe files with the new ones, again choose yes to all. And you should be...

Re: Trigger that detects entities?

True, true. I was under the impression that a `home-made` trigger (checking values every 0.01s - shortest time to be as accurate as possible) would cause more server strain than a built in trigger, as I thought waittill("trigger") was some kind of immediate detection, rather than constantl...

Nice to meet you! Do you play on the AR51 zombie server as well? I feel that I recognise your name.

It wasn't going to be with a grenade, but thanks anyway I didn't know you could do that.

Re: Trigger that detects entities?

Hmm, nevermind I can just make it so it gets stuck in the hoop at a certain origin and check for that origin.

Re: Trigger that detects entities?

Possibly, I wanted to make a basketball court with a trigger on the court to make the ball bounce (this could be done by checking ball.origin[2]) and to detect when it goes goes through the hoop(s).

Trigger that detects entities?

Is there a type of trigger that detects non-player entities? I made a trigger multiple and tried moving a script_origin backwards and forwards through it (slowly) and it didn't detect it at all. I was simply using trigger waittill("trigger"); iprintlnbold("Testing"); and nothing ...

Re: Compile Reflections Error

Did you download the mod tools 1.1 patch? The Initial 1.0 download has an error to do with shader bin. If you havn't done so already then this is most likely the cause of your error. Also you may want to post these types of questions in the CoD4 Modding Help section. Edit: My bad, this isn't General...
